HOUSTON - With its efforts to take an active role in the revitalization of downtown Houston, Landry's Restaurants announces the opening of its latest venture, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse, 1510 Texas Ave., on Monday, April 21.
Tilman Fertitta, president, chairman and chief executive officer of Landry's Restaurants Inc., traveled the country looking to expand his restaurant company. His father, Vic and cousin, Anthony, often accompanied him and together they traveled across the country to experience the best steakhouses in North America. They carefully researched and developed a list of attributes that make a steakhouse truly great - a carefully crafted menu, an extensive wine selection, impeccable service and an elegant, yet cozy atmosphere.
"I realized that taking a unique combination of all we had seen and tasted and bringing that to the right location in Houston would create a one-of-a-kind steakhouse downtown," said Fertitta. "Vic & Anthony's, named after my dad and cousin, is a tribute to the Fertitta families' passion for good food and atmosphere."
With a keen sense of vision and an eye for detail, they have since created a spectacular two-story, 250-seat dining environment and world-class steakhouse, Vic & Anthony's. Located in the heart of downtown Houston across from Minute Maid Park, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse features a blend of high-quality menu selections and one-of-a-kind hospitality in an intimate atmosphere of hand-crafted mahogany woodwork, plush leather furnishings and luxurious amenities.
"With the close proximity to Minute Maid Park and other downtown attractions,

The menu selections include an array of appetizers such as Blue Point Oysters, Maple Glazed Quail and Beluga Caviar. The salads include a crisp Iceberg Wedge, a Pear & Saga Bleu Cheese Salad and more. The selection of USDA Prime grain-fed beef includes Ribeye, New York Strip, Porterhouse and Filet Mignon. The menu offers a variety of other selections, including Lamb and Veal Chops, Live Maine Lobster, Australian Rock Lobster, Tuna, Red Snapper and Chicken.
In addition to the main dining room, Vic & Anthony's offers three private rooms as well as a Piano Lounge & Bar. The elegant décor of The Board Room provides an ideal setting for small business meetings and social gatherings. The Wine Room features magnificent stone flooring and archways, offering the feel of an historic chateau. Guests are surrounded by rich mahogany cabinets filled with an exclusive collection of wines from all over the world. Wine enthusiasts will marvel at the view of the wine cellar, which features more than 1,000 wine bottles.
The Texas Room provides ample space and amenities to accommodate larger gatherings such as formal galas, receptions or presentations. It is adorned with spectacular crystal chandeliers and hand-carved millwork throughout, and offers the
